An iconic 620 seating set designed by Dieter Rams for Vitsœ, comprising a two-seater sofa and matching armchair from one of the most influential modular furniture systems of the 20th century. Designed in 1962, the 620 Chair Programme embodies Rams’ functionalist approach through its restrained geometry, modular construction and emphasis on long-term adaptability. This set features the characteristic white side shells, creating a graphic contrast with the dark grey upholstery. The seats were previously reupholstered in a grey fabric with a subtle white square pattern, which remains in very good condition with minimal signs of use. The white plastic shells retain authentic age-related wear, including scuffs, marks and some chips, consistent with the set’s vintage history. Overall, both pieces remain in good vintage condition and are ready for immediate use. A highly collectible example of German modernist design and Dieter Rams’ enduring approach to functional furniture. Non-smoking provenance. Set includes one two-seater sofa and one armchair.
