Every piece in our collection is shipped directly from our trusted network of dealers and specialists across Europe, the UK, and the USA. Because we work with authentic vintage furniture and objects—many of which are fragile or one-of-a-kind—we coordinate every delivery with care to ensure your piece arrives safely.
How shipping works
1. You place your order
Once your order is confirmed, our logistics team springs into action.
2. We provide a shipping quote
Within 24–48 hours (often same day), we'll send you a detailed shipping quote tailored to your piece and location. This includes:
- Estimated delivery timeframe
- Shipping method (standard courier or white-glove service)
- Full cost breakdown
3. You approve and we ship
Once you approve the quote, we coordinate with our trusted couriers to schedule delivery at a time that works for you.
Shipping costs are not calculated at checkout because every piece is unique—size, fragility, and destination all play a role. We believe in transparency, so you'll always know exactly what to expect before anything ships.
Delivery Options
Standard Delivery
Most items are shipped via DPD or specialist furniture couriers experienced in handling vintage pieces. Your item will be carefully packed, fully insured, and trackable from door to door.
White-Glove Delivery
For large furniture, fragile pieces, or if you simply want extra care, we offer white-glove delivery services upon request. This includes:
- Professional unpacking and placement in your chosen room
- Assembly or setup (if applicable)
- Removal of all packaging materials
Let us know if you'd like this option, and we'll include it in your shipping quote.
Packaging & Insurance
- All items are packed using custom, reinforced materials suited to the piece
- Every shipment is fully insured for its value
- We work only with couriers experienced in handling collectible furniture and art
Tracking & Updates
Once your piece ships, you'll receive:
- A shipping confirmation with full tracking details
- Updates as your item makes its way to you
- Direct contact with our logistics team if you have questions
Returns & Refunds
We want you to love your piece. If something isn't right, we're here to help.
Inspect Your Delivery Immediately
Because our pieces are shipped from locations across Europe, the UK, and the USA—and because they're often irreplaceable vintage items—it's essential that you inspect your delivery as soon as it arrives.
You have 48 hours from delivery to report any issues. This allows us to:
- Activate insurance claims if needed
- Coordinate with the courier and dealer immediately
- Resolve the issue while the trail is still fresh
What to Do If There's an Issue
If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or doesn't match its description, contact us immediately at info@curiouz.com with:
- Clear photos of the item and all packaging (including any visible damage to the box)
- A description of the issue
- Your order number
We'll review your claim right away and arrange for a replacement, repair, or full refund.
Important: Claims submitted after 48 hours may not be covered by insurance and may not be eligible for resolution.
Return Policy
If the piece simply isn't what you expected, you can return it—but given the nature of vintage items and the distances involved, there are a few important conditions.
To return an item:
- Contact us at info@curiouz.com within 7 days of delivery to request a return
- The item must be in its original condition (unused, unaltered, and undamaged)
- All original packaging must be intact
- You must have proof of purchase
Return shipping:
- Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility
- We'll provide guidance on how to safely pack and ship the item back
- We strongly recommend using a tracked, insured shipping method—Curiouz is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we'll process your refund within 10 business daysRefunds are issued to your original payment method
- A restocking fee may apply to cover logistics and coordination costs
Items That Cannot Be Returned
Given the nature of our work, the following are non-returnable:
- Custom restoration or commissioned work
- Items marked as "Final Sale" in the product listing
- Pieces that have been altered, repaired, or modified after delivery

Understanding Vintage Pieces
Our collection features authentic vintage and antique furniture, lighting, and objects—many of which are 40 to 80 years old. These pieces carry history, and with that comes character.
What to expect:
- Minor wear, patina, and age-appropriate imperfections are part of a piece's story—not defects
- Each listing includes detailed photos and a condition report so you know exactly what you're getting
- If you have any questions about a specific piece before purchasing, we're happy to provide additional photos or details
We believe these marks of time add to the beauty and authenticity of vintage design. They're what make each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
European Union Consumer Rights
If your order is shipped within the European Union, you're protected under EU consumer law, which grants you the right to return goods purchased online within 14 days of delivery.
However, given the unique nature of vintage items—their age, fragility, and the fact that they're often one-of-a-kind pieces sourced from different locations—we ask that you:
- Inspect your delivery immediately and report issues within 48 hours
- Contact us before returning anything so we can guide you through the process
- Understand that return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the item is defective or incorrect

Cancellations
Orders can be canceled before shipping by contacting info@curiouz.com. Once your piece has been dispatched from the dealer's location, it cannot be canceled—but you may return it under our standard return policy.
