An early Atollo Model 233 table lamp designed by Vico Magistretti for Oluce in 1977. Widely regarded as one of the greatest icons of Italian lighting design, the Atollo received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro award in 1979 for its revolutionary approach to form and function. This large version is crafted from white gloss lacquered metal and is composed of three perfectly balanced geometric elements: a cylindrical base, a conical body and the signature hemispherical shade. The design produces a soft, indirect downward light that creates a warm, atmospheric ambience while showcasing Magistretti's timeless minimalist vision. An early production example, this lamp retains its original high-gloss finish in excellent vintage condition with no damage to the lacquer. A true collector's piece, the Atollo remains a landmark of Italian Postmodern and Mid Century design, equally suited to living rooms, bedrooms, offices or curated interiors.
