Rare and striking, the ''Satan'' sofa by French designer Bernard Govin is a bold example of avant-garde furniture design from the golden age of Ligne Roset. Known for his futuristic and sculptural creations, Govin gave this piece its provocative name as a cheeky nod to its pointed “ears” and horn-like front corners. Beyond its daring form, the ''Satan'' sofa is a technical masterpiece, with complex angles and uninterrupted leather seams that showcase expert craftsmanship. Fully made of foam, the sofa is lightweight and designed to be a freestanding centerpiece, with its gently sloping, leather-clad back proudly bearing the Ligne Roset label. This example has been reupholstered in luxurious cognac full-aniline leather, enhancing its already exceptional character. In excellent condition, it offers not only bold design but also unexpectedly superb seating comfort. A true collectible for those seeking design with personality and history.
