The Tamburo lamp by Tobia Scarpa for Flos is a striking example of avant-garde Italian design. True to its name (tamburo meaning “drum”), it features a bold circular form set at a 60° angle on a distinctive triangular stem anchored to a solid stone base. Green rings fixed with Allen bolts give it a futuristic look, evocative of the Memphis movement. A matte plastic diffuser at the front and interchangeable rear glass panels conceal internal shutters. Finished in its original green with dark green accents, and signed with the Flos logo, this rare piece balances sculptural presence with functional innovation. Good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. A larger 250 cm version is also available.
