An iconic masterpiece of Italian design, the Soriana sofa was designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina in 1969 and was awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro in 1970. Celebrated for its innovative construction, the Soriana eliminates the need for a rigid internal frame, instead embracing generous upholstered volumes elegantly gathered by its signature chrome-plated steel clamp. Upholstered in a luminous ecru fabric, this example combines exceptional comfort with timeless sculptural appeal, making it a statement piece for Mid Century Modern, Contemporary and Collectible Design interiors. Presented in near-new condition and supplied with its original documentation, it is ready for immediate use. One of Cassina's most sought-after creations, the Soriana remains a defining icon of 20th-century furniture design, admired for its bold aesthetics, outstanding craftsmanship and enduring investment value.
