This contemporary sheepskin footstool is a refined interpretation of Swedish modern design, handcrafted in the United States in 2023. Designed as a footstool or ottoman, the piece features an organic tripod form inspired by Nordic design traditions and the playful, sculptural proportions associated with Danish architect Philip Arctander. The stool is upholstered in genuine beige sheepskin, offering a soft, tactile surface paired with newly upholstered foam cushioning for exceptional comfort. Slender legs in stained teak provide warmth and contrast, grounding the design in natural materials central to Scandinavian modernism. Though contemporary in production, the footstool carries the spirit of mid-century Nordic design, functional, inviting, and quietly expressive. Suitable as an accent seat, footrest, or sculptural element, it integrates effortlessly into modern and curated interiors. The piece is in excellent, new condition, having been recently made. Multiple examples are currently available, and the design can be custom made in a range of sizes, colors, and upholstery options, offering both flexibility and craftsmanship rooted in modern Nordic tradition.
