Set of 8 Dining / Inn Chairs, Valentin Jadrníček, Early 20th Century
SAFE PAYMENTS
Jadrníček’s so-called inn chair was widely used since the beginning of the 20th century as an alternative to Thonet’s dining chair number 14 from 1859. In the cast-iron parts connecting the front and back legs, elements reminiscent of floral art nouveau can still be seen. The chair made of bent beech massif was characterized by a subtle but durable construction, and therefore became a popular part not only of cafes and inns.
This particular set is after detailed renovation. The metal elements have been glass-blasted and finished with transparent lacquer, that protects them from corrosion. The wooden elements have been cleaned and finished with shellac and wax. Bring home a touch of early 20th Century craftsmanship and elevate your living space with this exceptional vintage find.
