This rare set of six Razorblade high-back dining chairs was designed by Henning Kjærnulf in Denmark during the 1960s and is associated with production by Nyrup Møbelfabrik or EG Kvalitetsmøbler, although the exact manufacturer remains unconfirmed. Crafted from solid oak, the chairs feature the distinctive razorblade-shaped cutouts in their tall backrests, creating a bold, sculptural silhouette characteristic of Kjærnulf's Danish Modern designs. Intricate carved details, scalloped lines and rounded aprons introduce subtle Brutalist and Baroque influences, while the warm oak grain highlights the natural beauty of the wood. All six seats have been newly upholstered in a textured fabric, providing a fresh contemporary contrast to the vintage frames. The foam is firm and comfortable, and the chairs remain structurally solid and ready for everyday use. Minor signs of age and use are visible on the wood, consistent with their vintage character. Each chair has been carefully cleaned, treated and inspected.
