A refined set of four Visitor Chairs by Matteo Grassi, combining Bauhaus-inspired modernism with the exceptional leather craftsmanship associated with the Italian manufacturer. Each chair features a continuously bent chrome-plated tubular steel frame supporting strong black saddle leather across the seat and backrest, eliminating conventional upholstery while creating a comfortable, slightly flexible seating surface. Leather-covered armrests, visible stitching and exposed fastenings emphasize the honest construction and architectural character of the design. Inspired by the cantilever furniture of Mart Stam and Marcel Breuer, the chairs reinterpret Modernist principles through luxurious materials and Italian craftsmanship. Presented in very good vintage condition, with beautifully preserved leather, minimal patina and well-maintained chrome frames.
