This set of four oak dining chairs from the 1940s-1950s combines rustic craftsmanship with an understated, almost noble character. Crafted from thick, naturally aged oak, the chairs feature broad, deep upholstered seats, low backrests and substantial frames enriched with intricate carvings along the legs and crossbars. Their simple, almost square silhouettes recall traditional European farmhouse furniture, while the elaborate carved details introduce a refined, sculptural quality. The oak has developed a beautiful natural patina that highlights the grain and craftsmanship of each chair. All four chairs remain in excellent structural condition, with firm, stable joints and comfortable seating. The existing upholstery is in good usable condition, with no significant stains, although one chair shows localized wear on a corner. Reupholstery is not currently recommended, allowing the set to retain its authentic vintage character. A distinctive combination of rustic simplicity and decorative craftsmanship, ideal for traditional, Scandinavian or eclectic dining interiors.
