These Danish dining chairs date to the 1960s, a period widely regarded as the height of Scandinavian modern design. Designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen and crafted in Denmark, the Model 62 chairs embody the era’s focus on clean lines, ergonomic comfort, and exceptional woodworking. The design pairs a solid wood frame with an upholstered seat, offering durability alongside everyday comfort. Balanced proportions and restrained detailing allow the chairs to sit naturally around a dining table while also functioning well as desk or occasional chairs. Their quiet elegance reflects the Danish Modern philosophy, where form follows function without excess. The chairs are presented in good vintage condition and have been fully renovated, with professional reupholstery in high-quality black leather carried out by a skilled craftsman. Structurally sound and visually refined, they retain the integrity and authenticity expected of genuine mid-century Scandinavian design.
