This set of three vintage wire bar stools was designed by Harry Bertoia and forms part of his iconic 1952 wire collection, one of the most influential furniture series of the 20th century. Conceived as an exploration of space, form, and function, the Bertoia Barstool translates the sculptor’s artistic vision into a lightweight yet structurally strong seating design. The stools feature the characteristic metal wire construction that creates visual transparency while offering surprising comfort. This set retains its original blue fabric seat pads, adding a subtle color accent and enhancing usability. Produced in the late 1970s to early 1980s, the stools remain in good original condition, with no structural defects, showing only light traces of use and minor surface rust consistent with age. A timeless modernist design, these bar stools work equally well in contemporary interiors, kitchen islands, or design-focused hospitality spaces, and are highly collectible examples of Bertoia’s enduring legacy.
