This pair of wall sconces designed by Ravi Sing for Lightworks RR in the 1980s exemplifies the bold, expressive character of Postmodern lighting design. Each sconce features a square dark metal frame holding a patinated brass panel with richly iridescent gold, copper, and bronze tones. The dramatic cutouts, including a jagged horizontal slit and irregular vertical openings, create a striking visual contrast and produce captivating light patterns when illuminated. The result is a sculptural interplay of light, shadow, and texture, highlighting the handcrafted artistry of the piece. Secured by minimalist black clips and stamped “Lightworks RR” for authenticity, these sconces are both functional and artistic, ideal for collectors or interiors that embrace raw, geometric sophistication.
