A rare pair of Murano glass wall sconces manufactured by Vistosi in Italy during the 1970s. Distinguished by their exceptional hand-blown black glass shades, these sconces represent a highly uncommon variation within Murano lighting production, making them particularly desirable for collectors and enthusiasts of Italian design. Each shade was handcrafted on the island of Murano using traditional glassmaking techniques, resulting in elegant organic forms and subtle variations that highlight their artisanal origin. The smoked black transparent glass creates a sophisticated interplay of light and shadow when illuminated, while the chromed metal structure provides a striking contrast that enhances the sculptural appearance of the design. Equipped with E27 sockets and suitable for LED bulbs, the sconces offer both decorative appeal and practical functionality. Their dramatic silhouette and rare colour make them ideal statement pieces for living rooms, hallways, bedrooms and design-focused interiors. A remarkable example of 1970s Italian lighting that combines Murano craftsmanship, modernist elegance and strong collector appeal.
