This pair of Modus armchairs by Kristian Vedel was designed in the 1960s and produced by Søren Willadsen in Vejen, Denmark, representing a refined example of Danish mid century modern design. Characterized by clean architectural lines and well balanced proportions, the Modus model reflects Vedel’s functional approach combined with sculptural simplicity. The solid wood frames provide structural clarity and durability, while the gently angled backrests and generous seats ensure comfort. The upholstery has been replaced, offering renewed freshness and usability while maintaining the integrity of the original design. Timeless in expression and versatile in placement, these armchairs integrate effortlessly into both contemporary and classic interiors, embodying the craftsmanship and understated elegance associated with Danish furniture production of the 1960s.
