Incredible pair of midcentury sculptural lounge chairs from 1950s Italy, featuring solid rosewood frames with beautifully curved lines and one piece fiberglass inner shells that give the seats their refined rounded form. Reupholstered in luxurious caramel mohair, the chairs achieve a striking contrast between warm tactile fabric and rich rosewood. Although the designer is unknown, the craftsmanship and architectural silhouette recall the work of Franco Albini and the quality associated with Italian design of the period. Exceptional statement pieces that elevate any interior with character and sculptural presence. Condition excellent. Dimensions: 84.5 x 64 x 95 cm.
