Pair of Mod 8102 lounge chairs designed by Giuseppe Zammerini for MIM Roma, Italy, early 1960s. Produced circa 1960 to 1963, this refined model reflects the elegance and structural clarity of Italian mid century modern design. Each chair features a solid wood frame with a gently curved plywood backrest that envelops the sitter, paired with an original leather sling seat that offers supple comfort and develops a rich patina over time. Visible joinery and carefully resolved tension details highlight Zammerini’s commitment to functional honesty and understated sophistication. Created during MIM’s progressive exploration of executive seating, the design balances craftsmanship with architectural precision. Both chairs remain in very good condition, showing gentle age appropriate wear to the wood and leather. A rare and collectible pair embodying the enduring appeal of Italian modernism.
