Vintage pair of Klinte lounge chairs designed by Tord Björklund for IKEA and produced in Sweden during the 1980s. Combining Bauhaus inspired modernism with Scandinavian simplicity, these iconic chairs feature continuous chrome plated tubular steel frames paired with suspended black leather sling seats and stitched leather backrests. The polished chrome structure creates a refined architectural silhouette, while padded leather armrests and gently curved forms provide comfort and sculptural elegance. The contrast between reflective steel and matte black leather gives the chairs a striking graphic presence ideal for minimalist, industrial, postmodern, and contemporary interiors. Designed during the influential 1980s revival of Bauhaus aesthetics, the Klinte model reflects Björklund’s celebrated approach to functional modern furniture. Presented in good vintage condition with authentic patina, light scratches, creasing, and age related wear that enhance the originality and collectible character of the set.
