A rare set of lounge chairs from the “Jeans Rondo” collection by Erik Deforce (Ric Def) for Hi-Plan, Belgium, 1972. Awarded a Design Centre Brussels selection in the same year, this pair is a documented example of Belgian modern design, still bearing the original sticker. Each chair features a sculptural frame in black lacquered oak plywood with rounded edges, paired with generous dark blue leather cushions. Conceived as part of a Pop-Art influenced total interior concept, the collection was produced in denim, lacquer, and leather versions, this pair representing one of the most collectible. Deforce, also known for his iconic Lord chair, infused the series with playful geometry and modernist craftsmanship. In very good condition with a corrected past restoration, both chairs present beautifully while retaining authenticity. Dimensions: 92 × 72 × 74 cm; seat height 35 cm. A highly collectible piece of 1970s Belgian design heritage.
