This set of two Falcon Lounge Chairs by Sigurd Ressel for Vatne Møbler represents an iconic achievement of Norwegian design from the 1970s. Recognised for their distinctive suspended construction, the chairs feature a curved laminated wood frame that supports a floating leather sling seat, creating both visual lightness and exceptional ergonomic comfort. Ressel’s innovative approach eliminated the need for heavy structural elements, allowing the leather to adapt naturally to the body. The rich leather upholstery enhances the sculptural silhouette while emphasizing the relaxed character of Scandinavian modernism. Produced in Norway by Vatne Møbler, these Falcon chairs are timeless statement pieces ideal for contemporary interiors, collectors of Nordic design, or refined living spaces seeking authentic mid century character.
