This elegant pair of desk lamps was designed by Paavo Tynell and manufactured by Taito Oy in Finland during the late 1940s to 1950s, exemplifying the timeless appeal of Scandinavian modern lighting. Crafted in brass with refined glass detailing along the edges, the lamps balance warmth and precision, a hallmark of Tynell’s distinctive design language. Their clean lines and thoughtful proportions give them a presence that feels both classic and remarkably modern, even more than seventy years after their creation. Designed for practical use while maintaining a sculptural elegance, these lamps are ideal for a desk, home office, or living space where functional lighting and design integrity are equally valued. Highly collectible and beautifully made, this pair reflects the exceptional craftsmanship of Taito Oy and Paavo Tynell’s enduring influence on Finnish lighting design.
