This vintage pair of Danish lounge chairs from the 1960s-1970s combines Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern craftsmanship with sculptural Brutalist and Baroque-inspired details in the style of Henning Kjærnulf. Crafted from solid oak by an unidentified Danish cabinetmaker, the armchairs feature open, airy frames with beautifully detailed woodwork along the sides, highlighting the natural grain and warm character of the timber. Both chairs retain their original Savak wool upholstery and removable, reversible cushions with Epeda metal spring frames, providing excellent support and seating comfort. The cushions can also be reupholstered in the future if desired. The armrests measure 56 cm from the floor, contributing to the chairs' comfortable and balanced proportions. The solid oak frames remain exceptionally sturdy and stable, while the original upholstery is preserved in excellent vintage condition. Ready for immediate use, these distinctive Danish easy chairs offer a harmonious combination of comfort, durability and timeless Nordic design, ideal for living rooms, reading corners and eclectic interiors. The designer attribution is stylistic rather than confirmed.
