This elegant 19th-century Danish Victorian parlor furniture ensemble combines a sculptural solid walnut table with traditional mahogany upholstered chairs, reflecting the refined craftsmanship of the late Victorian period. The round walnut table features a beautifully turned central pedestal surrounded by three Canterbury-style open storage ledges with delicate spindle gallery rails, designed to hold books, magazines or sheet music. Its graceful tripod base rests on three outward-curving sabre legs, while the entire structure is assembled using traditional hand-cut joinery and wooden pegs, without screws. The accompanying chairs feature richly figured solid mahogany frames, gently arched upholstered backrests, curved wooden top rails, decorative turned baluster front legs and elegant sabre back legs. Small carved wooden bosses accentuate the front seat corners, highlighting their classical Victorian character. The chairs retain their original red and cream vertically striped upholstery, finished with decorative rope cord trim. The fabric remains in good condition, without holes or tears, and can be used as is or reupholstered if desired. The walnut table retains a beautiful warm patina and is structurally sound, with minor age-related marks consistent with its history. A distinctive antique ensemble suited to a traditional parlor, library, sitting room or eclectic interior.
