This rare set of ten Danish dining chairs from the 1960s combines Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern craftsmanship with sculptural Brutalist details in the style of Henning Kjærnulf. Crafted from solid oak, the chairs feature distinctive turned baluster front legs, gently curved back legs and softly scalloped top rails. Sturdy H-stretcher supports reinforce their architectural frames. The original olive green and cream vertically striped wool upholstery is accented with decorative brass nailhead trim. The fabric shows wear and requires reupholstery, while the solid oak frames remain structurally sound, with minor age-related marks and a warm natural patina. Ideal for a large dining room, this cohesive set of ten offers an opportunity to restore a distinctive example of Danish vintage furniture. The association with Henning Kjærnulf is stylistic rather than confirmed.
