Rare set of two iconic lamps by Elio Martinelli for Martinelli Luce: the Serpente floor lamp (1965, model 2131) and the Cobra table lamp (1968, model 599). Both epitomes of Italian Space Age design, the Serpente features a swivelling white methacrylate dome on a gracefully curved metal arm, while the Cobra impresses with its unified sculptural stem and rotating reflector. Combining futuristic aesthetics with functional flexibility, these pieces are design classics held in major museum collections, including MoMA New York.
Condition: Very good, with minimal age-related wear to lacquer and shades; fully functional with intact original wiring.
Dimensions: Cobra – Ø42 × H46 cm; Serpente – Ø50 × H120 cm.
