This charming and highly sculptural Danish sofa reflects the design tradition associated with Flemming Lassen and Fritz Hansen, with additional influences reminiscent of Jacob Kjær and Thorald Madsen. While the exact designer and manufacturer remain undocumented, its craftsmanship, proportions and substantial construction demonstrate the quality associated with Danish cabinetmaking of the mid-20th century. Despite its compact dimensions, the sofa has a commanding presence, defined by elegantly curved armrests and a distinctive winged backrest. The substantial frame remains firm throughout, with sturdy armrests and a supportive back. The existing upholstery would benefit from replacement, offering an opportunity to highlight the sculptural silhouette in a new textile, particularly natural lambswool or sheepskin. Professional reupholstery and premium-quality sheepskins are available upon request. A matching lounge chair with the same design language is also available separately, measuring 75 cm wide. No confirmed designer or manufacturer attribution has been established.
