This 1970s Scandinavian wingback armchair represents the expressive evolution of Nordic mid century design, combining sculptural presence with inviting comfort. Upholstered in richly textured corduroy and supported by a hand carved solid oak wood frame, the chair balances robust craftsmanship with refined elegance. The high back winged silhouette creates a strong architectural profile while offering ergonomic support, making it ideal as a focal seating piece in living rooms, reading corners, or lounge environments. Carved oak legs and subtle structural detailing highlight traditional woodworking skill, while the tactile textile grounds the piece within the Scandinavian Modern tradition. Offered in original good vintage condition, it shows thoughtful age appropriate wear that enhances its authentic patina without compromising comfort or stability. Seat height is 40 cm. A distinguished example of 1970s Nordic seating design.
