An elegant secretary bookcase with built-in desk designed by Johannes Sorth for Nexø Møbelfabrik in Bornholm, Denmark, precisely dated 1 June 1966 by its original production stamp. Crafted in richly figured rosewood veneer with solid rosewood details, the multifunctional design combines open shelving, a writing surface and extensive concealed storage. Fluted tambour doors reveal three small drawers, shelving and document dividers, while three wide lower drawers feature sculpted recessed pulls. Curved side panels and slender tapered legs give the substantial cabinet a refined architectural presence characteristic of Danish Mid-Century Modern design. Presented in very good vintage condition, professionally cleaned, inspected and oiled, with minor age-related wear and a stabilised veneer repair.
