This elegant compact Minerva sofa, designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for France & Daverkosen, exemplifies Danish Mid-Century Modern craftsmanship. Featuring a solid teak frame, chrome-plated steel supports and beautifully detailed backrest, the sofa offers a refined architectural silhouette suitable for freestanding placement. The original box-spring cushions have been updated with new foam padding and premium Kvadrat / Sahco upholstery, while the rubber-coated support springs have been replaced with new black springs. The original manufacturer's metal tag remains attached, confirming its authenticity. Preserved in lovely vintage condition, the teak and chrome components display only minor scratches, small dents and age-related wear. Combining timeless Scandinavian design with renewed comfort, this collectible sofa is ideal for sophisticated living spaces.
