A striking one-of-a-kind ceramic soliflore vase signed Schiavon, entirely hand-built and hand-painted by the artist. Standing 46.5 cm tall, the elongated tapered body rises into a stylized female figure, giving the piece the presence of a small sculptural totem and recalling the expressive language of Mid-Century Italian figurative ceramics. Every surface reveals the artist’s hand, from the modelled contours and layered glazes to the flowing botanical motifs and graphic outlines. A vibrant palette of ochre, turquoise, deep red, yellow and white animates the composition, while a raised circular medallion on the front introduces an abstract sun-and-sky motif. The expressive face and geometric details further enhance the vase’s whimsical yet sophisticated character. Signed Schiavon, this unique example of Italian studio pottery functions beautifully as a standalone sculpture or as a soliflore displaying a single stem. Presented in good vintage condition.
