This MPT series sideboard or cabinet, designed by Marian Grabiński for IKEA in the 1960s, perfectly embodies the elegance and functionality of Scandinavian mid-century design. Crafted in light oak, it features clean lines, balanced proportions, and a bright, natural finish that highlights the wood’s grain. The structure combines open shelving on top, ideal for books or display pieces, with a lower compartment concealed by a hinged door for ample storage. Its minimalist base with straight, integrated legs gives the piece a light, modern profile. Versatile in function, it works beautifully as a bookcase, secretary desk, or bar cabinet. Retaining its original IKEA stamp on the back, it has been carefully restored and remains in very good vintage condition, showing only minimal wear and an even, warm patina.
