This antique stacking barrister bookcase, dating from around 1920 and in the spirit of Globe Wernicke, is a timeless example of early 20th century craftsmanship. Made from oak with glazed fronts, it consists of five modular stacking units, along with a plinth and a top hood. Originally designed for practicality, the sectional construction allowed books to remain in place during transport, making it ideal for travelling professionals. The warm oak tone and classic proportions give the piece a refined and traditional presence, while the glass fronts provide both protection and display. Functional and elegant, this bookcase offers generous storage and a strong sense of history, making it a standout addition to both classic and contemporary interiors.
