This substantial solid pine table from the 1970s-1980s reflects the Nordic architectural character associated with the work of Knud Friis and Elmar Moltke. Crafted from pale, tightly grained pine, the table combines a soft Scandinavian aesthetic with bold Brutalist proportions. The impressive tabletop is constructed from three massive planks, each approximately 5 cm thick, emphasizing the quality and weight of the material. Oversized solid pine legs provide excellent stability while reinforcing the table's sculptural presence. Its raw, honest construction recalls iconic Scandinavian pine furniture by designers such as Rainer Daumiller, while retaining its own understated character. The table is preserved in beautiful vintage condition and will continue to develop a richer natural patina with age and use. A strong choice for a dining room, kitchen or architectural interior seeking natural materials and substantial proportions. The table can be shipped flat-packed for a more economical shipping quote. No confirmed designer attribution has been provided.
