An elegant Model 56 extendable dining table designed by Villy Schou Andersen and produced in Denmark during the 1960s. Crafted in oak veneer with solid oak detailing, the table features a warm honey-toned grain, finely profiled edge and slender tapered legs characteristic of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design. In its compact form, the 115 cm table provides a balanced setting for everyday dining, while two original 55 × 115 cm extension leaves increase the length to 170 cm or a generous 225 cm for larger gatherings. The slim underframe and gently rounded profile maintain a light architectural appearance in every configuration. Professionally restored, carefully inspected and treated with high-quality furniture oil, the table remains in excellent vintage condition with minor age-related wear.
