The Model 55 armchair, designed by Niels O. Møller in 1951, is a refined example of Danish Mid Century design, produced by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik. Crafted in teak, the chair features elegant organic lines and precise joinery that highlight the quality of its craftsmanship. The sculpted frame and gently curved backrest provide both visual lightness and ergonomic comfort, reflecting Møller’s focus on functional beauty. The warm tone of the teak enhances its timeless appeal, making it suitable for dining areas, offices or refined living spaces. The chair shows light signs of age such as minor surface wear and natural patina consistent with vintage use, while remaining structurally sound. A collectible design classic of Scandinavian modernism.
