An elegant Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern sideboard designed by Sven Andersen for Norwegian manufacturer Brødrene Andersen Møbelfabrikk. The cabinet is distinguished by the exceptional quality of its richly figured wood, displaying dramatic flame grain and warm natural tones across the façade. Its restrained architectural design features two sliding doors and one hinged door, each complemented by characteristic circular recessed handles that preserve the clean, minimalist appearance. A substantial continuous plinth base grounds the cabinet and provides a strong visual contrast to the refined simplicity of the upper structure. Combining generous storage, carefully selected timber and understated detailing, the sideboard is a refined example of Scandinavian Modern cabinetmaking and an elegant statement piece for a living room, dining room or sophisticated contemporary interior.
