Locus Solus Daybed Design Gae Aulenti Restored 1960s
SAFE PAYMENTS
Rare daybed with pull-out bed from the iconic Locus Solus series, designed by Gae Aulenti and produced by Poltronova from the late 1960s. Aulenti’s visionary approach to functional design is evident in the chromed metal tubular frame, which supports both style and structural integrity. This versatile piece converts seamlessly from a daybed to a double bed, thanks to its built-in pull-out mechanism. Recently reupholstered in aviation blue fabric, the seat and cushions offer a fresh, contemporary touch while honoring its original design. A true collector’s item, featured in Domus, No. 450, May 1967.
