Distinctive coffee table produced by De Sede in Switzerland during the 1970s, combining luxurious natural materials with bold modernist design. The piece features a solid travertine stone top resting on a structured base upholstered in rich leather, creating a striking contrast between mineral and organic textures. This refined material pairing reflects the high end craftsmanship and innovative design language for which De Sede is internationally renowned. Known primarily for its exceptional leather furniture, the Swiss manufacturer often incorporated premium materials to create pieces that balance comfort, durability, and sculptural presence. The travertine surface introduces natural variation and subtle tonal depth, while the leather base adds warmth and sophistication. Both functional and decorative, the table works beautifully as a centerpiece in a living space, embodying the luxurious yet understated character of 1970s European design.
