This Kugel table lamp collection by Cosack represents a classic example of German lighting design from the 1970s. Featuring the iconic spherical “Kugel” form, each lamp is composed of an opaline glass globe paired with a restrained metal base, emphasizing clarity of form and functional elegance. The softly diffused light produced by the glass spheres creates a warm, ambient glow, making these lamps both practical and atmospheric. Manufactured in Germany, the collection reflects the modernist and Space Age–influenced design language for which Cosack is well known. The repetition of the spherical motif across the set highlights the era’s fascination with geometry and modularity, while maintaining a timeless aesthetic suitable for contemporary interiors.
All lamps are preserved in very good original condition, with the glass shades remaining clean and intact and the metal elements showing only minimal signs of age. This collection offers a cohesive and collectible representation of 1970s German lighting craftsmanship.
