The Model 61 armchair by Kai Kristiansen is a refined example of Danish mid-century modern design, combining sculptural elegance with everyday comfort. Crafted in warm teak, the frame showcases clean lines and organic curves that highlight Kristiansen’s signature attention to proportion and detail. The backrest retains its original upholstery, displaying a rich patina and authentic signs of age that enhance its vintage character, while the seat has been newly upholstered for improved comfort and durability. This thoughtful combination preserves the chair’s history while ensuring practical use. Ideal for dining or as an accent piece, the Model 61 embodies timeless Scandinavian craftsmanship and understated sophistication.
