This sculptural Model K10-11 adjustable floor lamp, designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Idman Oy in Finland during the 1950s, exemplifies the precision and elegance of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern lighting. Combining a slender brass stem with black-painted metal elements, the lamp features a distinctive conical shade, circular base and counterweight that create a refined architectural silhouette. Its long counterbalanced arm allows the light to be repositioned and directed as needed, offering both practical functionality and visual balance. The contrast between warm brass and black metal highlights Wirkkala's minimalist approach to postwar Finnish design. A sophisticated statement piece for modern living rooms, reading corners, offices or design-focused interiors, combining sculptural craftsmanship with versatile lighting.
