A charming hand-painted ceramic plate by Baratti Pesaro, Italy, dating from the 1970s, distinguished by its playful figurative decoration and vibrant colour palette. The composition depicts two whimsical elves wearing hats, one playing a flute, accompanied by two large hens, creating an imaginative scene with a distinctive folk-art character. Expressive brushwork and carefully painted details give the plate a lively, handcrafted quality, reflecting the decorative approach of 1970s Italian ceramics. Equally appealing displayed on a stand, mounted as wall art or incorporated into a collection of vintage ceramics, the piece combines functionality with a strong illustrative presence. A delightful example of collectible Italian ceramic design, bringing colour, humour and character to both vintage and contemporary interiors.
