This wonderful green oak rush chair from 1950s France is often attributed in the style of Charles Dudouyt and Charlotte Perriand, reflecting the rustic modern aesthetic associated with mid century French design. Crafted in solid oak and finished in a distinctive green paint, the chair features a hand woven rush seat that remains fully intact, showcasing traditional craftsmanship and natural texture. The paint displays light wear consistent with age, along with an honest touch up on one section of the backrest, visible in the photos, adding to its authentic character. With a seat height of 35 cm, the chair has a low, relaxed profile and is remarkably light despite its solid construction. In great vintage condition overall, it offers both sculptural charm and functional versatility for rustic, modern or eclectic interiors.
