This early Model GE19 daybed, designed by Hans J. Wegner for Getama in Denmark during the 1960s, exemplifies the timeless elegance and functionality of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern furniture. Featuring a beautifully crafted teak frame with slender tapered legs, the daybed combines clean architectural lines with the warmth of natural wood. The original frame remains in very good vintage condition, displaying only minor signs of age and use. A new mattress and matching cylindrical neck roll pillow have been upholstered in high-quality, soft camel-coloured leather, offering renewed comfort and a sophisticated contrast with the teak. Combining authentic Danish craftsmanship with luxurious contemporary upholstery, this versatile piece is ideal for use as a daybed, lounge seat or statement furniture in modern and vintage-inspired interiors.
