This sculptural French guéridon reading floor lamp combines occasional furniture with intricate architectural metalwork. Crafted from patinated wrought iron, turned bronze and brass, it features a circular tray tabletop with a raised rim, supported by three arched legs with scrolled feet and a lower ring stretcher. A miniature spiral staircase rises from the centre, displaying bronze balusters and a curved brass handrail inspired by the historic vis de Saint-Gilles tradition. The staircase design is attributed to Émile Boulanger, although attribution of the complete lamp is unconfirmed. A double-jointed brass swing arm allows adjustable reading illumination. Reflecting post-war French neoclassical style, this distinctive piece is ideal for libraries, studies or sophisticated living rooms. Lampshade not included.
