This Gesto Terra floor lamp designed by Bruno Gecchelin for Skipper represents a refined example of 1970s Italian modern lighting design. Characterized by its architectural clarity, the lamp combines a minimalist metal structure with a sculptural marble base, creating a balanced dialogue between industrial precision and material richness. Gecchelin’s designs are celebrated for their clean geometry and functional elegance, qualities that define this piece. The restrained silhouette allows the lamp to integrate seamlessly into modernist, minimalist, or contemporary interiors while maintaining a strong sculptural presence. Manufactured in Italy, the lamp reflects the era’s focus on innovative form and timeless materials. Presented in good condition, it shows wear consistent with age and use, preserving the authentic character and visual integrity expected of a period Italian design.
