A sculptural icon of early 1970s Italian lighting, the “Lampione” floor lamp by Fabio Lenci captures a moment of bold experimentation where futuristic vision meets organic form. Produced in Italy by Guzzini, the DL5 model exemplifies the era’s embrace of innovative materials and expressive silhouettes. Crafted from moulded ABS plastic, the lamp features a domed opaline diffuser balanced atop a slender, trumpet-shaped base. Its gentle color gradient, shifting from soft white to warm ivory, enhances the fluid curvature of the form. A flexible neck allows for directional adjustment, while the weighted base ensures stability without compromising its elegant stance. The overall composition evokes the natural arc of a flower stem, paired with the optimistic geometry of space-age design.
