This Danish sewing table was crafted from solid oak during the 1960s and combines practical storage with distinctive Scandinavian craftsmanship. The design features a useful drawer above an extendable wicker basket, originally intended for sewing materials but easily adapted for contemporary use. Sculptural legs introduce subtle Baroque and Brutalist influences reminiscent of the design language associated with Henning Kjærnulf, adding character to an otherwise simple and functional form. Firm and structurally solid, the table can be repurposed as a side table, compact coffee table, bedside table or storage piece for magazines, textiles and other everyday objects. The combination of warm solid oak and natural wicker gives the piece a tactile quality that works particularly well in Scandinavian, rustic and eclectic interiors. No confirmed designer attribution has been provided.
