This Danish Brutalist freestanding desk, dating to circa 1960 and attributed to Henning Kjærnulf, combines Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design with traditional farmhouse and Baroque-inspired craftsmanship. Constructed from oak with oak-veneered top and side panels, the desk features a warm natural grain and beautifully aged surface that highlights its vintage character. Sculptural legs with turned and carved details create a distinctive architectural silhouette, allowing the piece to be displayed freely in the centre of a room. Six spacious drawers provide practical storage, each fitted with original brass ring pulls that complement the warm oak finish. The balanced proportions and decorative woodwork make this desk ideal for a home office, study or eclectic interior. Carefully inspected and cleaned, it remains structurally solid and functional. The attribution to Henning Kjærnulf is unconfirmed.
